As ‘objective experts’ it would be unethical to offer a guarantee that will be in favor to our client.
9. Price
HED reserves the right to update our rates at any time, but we do honor the price which were published at the time of the case begin date. Once a new case has reached the phase of a written letter, any additional fees will fall under the currently published rate cart.
All verbal or written quotes (not stated in the standard rate-card) are valid for 24 hours from the time conveyed. The “case completion” date is defined as the moment an “official opinion” in a verbal or written form. All additional work such as depositions, second opinions, new document reviews, hourly consultations, court testimony, additional lab work, will be billed at the current published rate sheet. additional time on the case, depositions, or other expenses. There are no refunds of any kind after a verbal or written opinion has been rendered. We get paid to review documents and render the most honest opinion possible.
HED uses Handwriting Experts LLC to provide accounting and billing services for HED and Bart Baggett, Forensic Document Examiner. If an examiner provides no communication, no report, and/or refused to examine the document, we will transfer your funds to another examiner and complete the case. There is no refund, partial refund, or cancellation once the order button is pressed. Professional Document Examiners are contracted to render an official forensic opinion, regardless of the outcome of the trial or the opinions of the client. Our company aggressively fights charge-backs and bounced checks from clients who received our service in good faith. All credit cards and payments will be processed by “Handwriting Experts, LLC “.
10. Legal Disclaimer
HED is affiliated with Bart Baggett and other experts. Our experts and representatives are not attorneys, they are court-qualified expert witnesses with extensive legal experience related to our expertise. If they are working with your attorney (or you are an attorney) they will consult on both strategy and any legal precedents that might apply in your case. If you are not an attorney, we suggest you hire an attorney for all legal advice. Our representatives and experts cannot dispense legal advice to non-attorneys. They can only comment on their own experiences as it relates to cases they have personally been involved in regarding handwriting, forgeries, altered documents, questioned documents, or testifying as an expert witness. If you want legal advice, you must consult a licensed attorney in your state.
11. Governing Law
Any claims relating to HED web site shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any claim relating to fees, credit card processing, refunds disputes, is handled by Handwriting Experts, Inc, which is a Texas corporation. As such as price disputes shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
